Superior Vigor, Superior Absorption, Minor Strength, and whatever minor or superior Weapon/Tactics you want to specialize in.

I think I can answer better just by saying what the ideal armor set would be:
Weapon-linked helm with Superior weapon-linked rune
Berzerker's Chest
Berzerker's Leggings
Berzerker's Gloves AND Stoneskin Gloves (armor swap for if you have a KD skill)
Knight's Boots with Superior Absorption (Do Not Change This Peice Of Armor, Ever)
Put super vigor/ minor strength in leggings/chest, and minor tactics in the gloves.
If you want to be set up perfectly for PvP, you will want some more armor swaps available:
Weapon linked helm with Minor weapon mastery (in case of DP)
Sentinel's chest/legs/gloves (if you happen to have 13 strength against teams with lots of elemental damage)
You might also want two more sets of sentinel's legs: with major and superior strength, so that you can use the set with less than 10 or 11 base points in strength.
OK, time to explain the knight's boots. The knight's set works differently than what you might expect: rather than reducing the damage that peice takes by 2 whenever that peice is hit, knight's set reduces the damage you take by 2 from any hit if you have at least one peice. Just as a reference, the mesmer's +15 armor while casting spells set acts identically. Anyhow, the knight's armor is put at the boots because boots/gloves get the smallest bonus from berzerker's/glads/armor boost, so don't lose out as often. Its not put on the gloves because you want to be able to switch to stoneskin gloves. And since you aren't going to be changing out your knights boots ever, you put the super absorption in it because you aren't going to be changing it out either and you don't want to have to buy duplicates.

Superior rune for your weapon mastery+weapon mastery helm(or LT helm)
minor tactics
minor strength
Superior Absorbtion
Superior Vigor
Umm, as for full platemail armor, I'd really rethink that...
Somthing like:
+1 weapon helm/LT helm
Gladiator's Chest
Gladiator's Legs
Gladiator's Gauntlets/Stonefist Gauntlets
Knights or Ascalon boots
If you don't go with the glads armor, PLEASE at least use the +1 weapon mastery helm or a HoD helm(having both is best), and the knights/ascalon boots. If you're going to be knocking things down, PLEASE use stonefist gauntlets.
